❤️ February 1-7: Kickoff of Women's Heart Week!
Let's dedicate the whole month to prioritizing our well-being and raising awareness about the unique heart health challenges women face. Share your resources, wear red, and join the conversation online!
 
❤️February 1: Launch of "Her Heart, Her History" in Honor of Black History Month
We're celebrating the inspiring stories and contributions of Black women in the fight for heart health. Join us as we launch "Her Heart, Her History," a series showcasing their journeys, challenges, and triumphs.
 
❤️ February 2nd: Celebrate Women's Heart Day & Go Red Day!
Shine a light on the incredible strength and resilience of women who fight heart disease every day. Take a moment to learn about the specific symptoms that can affect us, and share the love with friends, family, and your online community. Don't forget to wear your red!
 
❤️February 7-14: Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week
Did you know that 1 in 100 babies are born with Congenital Heart Defects? This Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week, we are joining forces with ACHA (Adult Congenital Heart Association) to spread awareness.  
 
❤️February 11-17: Heart Failure Awareness Week
Heart failure is the leading cause of death for women in the US surpassing breast cancer. For Heart Failure Awareness Week, we are joining the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) in raising awareness about heart failure.  
 
❤️February 13: The Washington Post: Women's Heart Health Event sponsored by Amgen
Our team will attend The Washington Post Live event in DC for Heart Month. Our CEO, Celina Gorre will be moderating conversations about cardiovascular risk factors, the disproportionate impact on women of color and how lifestyle changes can improve heart health. ❤️February 22: Valve Disease Awareness Day
Did you know that 1 in 8 women will experience valve disease in their lifetime? We are partnering with Aging Research to ensure that every woman is educated about valve disease.  
 
❤️February 23: WomenHeart 25th Anniversary: 
This year, we are celebrating WomenHeart's 25th anniversary! We can't thank you enough for supporting our fight for women's heart health. Stay tuned to join in on the celebration. 
 
❤️February 28: HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) Awareness Day
HCM Awareness Day shines a spotlight on Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a critical heart condition affecting millions, to educate and drive support for those impacted. WomenHeart champions this day to amplify awareness, share life-saving information, and foster a community of support for women living with HCM.
 
Here are some ways you can join the February fun:
  • Spread the word: Share our social media posts and use the hashtag #HerHeartHerHistory throughout the month.
  • Get informed: Learn about heart disease in women and how to advocate for your health. Check out our website for resources and educational materials.
  • Support the cause: Consider donating or volunteering with WomenHeart. Your contribution empowers women across the country to take control of their heart health.
