It’s the 10th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act — and the law has never been more necessary than it is during this public health emergency.

More than 20 million Americans gained coverage and insurers could no longer deny or drop coverage because of a pre-existing condition.

This unprecedented crisis only underscores the need for the ACA and its protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
