After we defied the odds and won two toss-up elections in 2022 that few thought a Democrat could win, thousands of people in New York and across the country have stood up alongside Pat once again to defend our fundamental freedoms, protect our democracy, and stand up against MAGA extremism. Our momentum is only getting stronger.

But we won’t — and we can’t — pretend for a second that we have this in the bag. Far from it.

Pat’s GOP opponent, Alison Esposito, isn’t going anywhere. Her campaign is being bankrolled by Elise Stefanik, who’s amassed a massive war chest to boost MAGA candidates across the country and preserve the GOP’s far-right House majority — and Pat is her #1 target.

There’s more: Stefanik is reportedly on Donald Trump’s shortlist for vice president. That means that she’s in a prime position to receive a huge influx of cash from right-wing mega-donors that she can use to flood our district with ads attacking Pat’s record.

We know this grassroots team understands everything that’s at stake this November. But Elise Stefanik and MAGA Republicans do, too — so we can’t afford to let them catch us flat-footed.
