Every year for decades, the United States has funneled hundreds of billions toward the Pentagon. This approach, characterized by an ever-growing arsenal and a readiness for war, has been justified as a means to ensure global stability and protect national interests.
Yet, increased Pentagon spending has not led to a more peaceful world. Instead, it has fueled conflicts, perpetuated a cycle of violence, and contributed to global instability.
More weapons and war are not the solutions to the challenges we face.
By perpetuating a cycle of violence, we risk creating more enemies than allies, and we fail to address the root causes of conflict and insecurity. It is time to recognize that true security cannot be achieved through military might.

Instead, we must invest in diplomacy, development aid, and international cooperation to address global challenges from poverty to climate change.
