ELECTION DATES & DEADLINES
As the Palm Beach County REC Election Operations team has received numerous questions regarding the upcoming elections – primary, municipal and general – we felt it might be helpful to post the information below, which is directly from the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections website Election Dates and Deadlines (votepalmbeach.gov), so voters could keep it handy:
| |
What is the Presidential Preference Primary?
The Presidential Preference Primary Election is part of the presidential nominating process for Florida’s two major political parties. Voters registered with those parties (DEM) or (REP) express their preference for the presidential candidate they would like to see representing their party on the General Election ballot in November.
After the PPP, designated political party delegates from Florida formally nominate the preferred presidential candidate at the respective party’s national convention. These national conventions are typically held in July or August. Based on the party rules governing delegate voting procedures, the party decides at the convention which presidential candidate will represent the party on the General Election ballot.
What is a Municipal Election?
Municipalities have governing bodies whereby the members are elected by the voters living within the municipality. Each of the 39 municipalities in Palm Beach County has a charter that stipulates the term of the office and the frequency of the elections. The Municipal Election is run by the municipality; therefore, each has its own qualifying dates and rules pursuant to its charter and ordinances. A municipality may have a provision in its charter that necessitates a Run-Off election. All voters eligible to vote within the municipality may vote in the Municipal Run-Off Election.
Voters living within the boundaries of the municipality are eligible to participate in the election for that municipality. Voters living in unincorporated Palm Beach County are not eligible to participate in municipal elections. Voters can find their municipality on their voter registration information card or by calling the Supervisor of Elections office at (561) 656-6200.
2024 Uniform Municipal Elections as of 1/16/2024
Belle Glade, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Greenacres, Highland Beach, Hypoluxo, Juno Beach, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Lake Park, Lake Worth Beach, Lantana, Loxahatchee Groves, North Palm Beach, Ocean Ridge, Pahokee, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach, Royal Palm Beach, South Bay, Tequesta, Wellington, and West Palm Beach. Sample ballots will be posted when they are available.

The REC Election Operations Committee and our Republican candidates need your support with the upcoming Municipal Elections and Presidential Primary. Election Day for the Presidential Primary and most Municipal Elections is March 19th (Some municipalities are having their elections on a different day in March) and we need your help to win all 26 races where Republican candidates are running in Palm Beach County.
We need volunteers to help with phone calls, texting and emailing to GET OUT THE VOTE! Scripts and materials will be provided and you can do this from home.
With huge voter turnout expected this March for the Presidential Primary, there has never been a better opportunity to get Republicans elected to municipal offices.
We hope you can find some time to help. We need to WIN BIG in 2024!
If you're interested in volunteering, please reach out to Emily at

FLORIDA TOPS ALL STATES FOR
REPUBLICAN VOTER REGISTRATION
The state of Florida now has more registered Republican voters than any state in the country, with 5,141,848 registered voters! Republicans have 779,701 more registered voters than Democrats in the state of Florida as of December 31, 2023. The widest margin ever! While we have been adding thousands of Republican voters to the voter rolls, Democrats have been losing voters. This is the largest advantage Republicans have ever had in Florida and if the totals keep trending like they have been the difference could be over 1 million voters by the 2024 elections which would be huge. We need to keep registering more Republican voters in Palm Beach County. Please encourage your friends and neighbors especially new neighbors who may have moved in from out of state to register to vote and to register as Republicans. PRESIDENT TRUMP ENDORSES EARLY VOTING AND VOTE-BY-MAIL | |
President Trump recently came out in support of Vote-by-Mail and Early In-Person Voting in states that allow it (Like Florida).
This comes as Governor Ron DeSantis has also come out in support of Early Voting and won the Early Vote in 2022 (Vote-by-Mail + Early Voting).
REQUEST YOUR VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT
The FloridaGOP is asking you to request your Vote-by-Mail Ballot to ensure that you have a ballot automatically sent to you, which helps remind you of upcoming elections. After you receive your vote-by-mail ballot, you still have three options:
1. Fill it out and return it by mail (all counties allow you to track your ballot, just like Fedex)
2. Fill it out and drop it off at an Elections Office or Early Voting Location in your county.
3. Do not fill out your vote-by-mail ballot, and instead, go vote in person. (Bring your blank vote-by-mail ballot with you to show that you have not filled it out)
If you are a Republican in Florida (Yes, even you Election Day-only voters) I am asking you to contact your County's Election Office RIGHT NOW to request your ballot over the phone.
Here’s the link to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot in Palm Beach County:
