| There are plenty of parenting worries to keep you up at night (We won’t name any here; your mind likely comes up with more than enough. Expecting the unexpected and trying to be prepared for every possible scenario is a noble pursuit, but not entirely realistic. Or healthy. It’s natural to worry too much about everything from benchmarks to baby proofing. But too much worry can eat up a lot of time and energy, both of which would be better spent being present as a parent. We recently spoke to a group of dads about the worries they wish they evicted from their brains a lot sooner and their answers are not unexpected but illuminating nonetheless: Making everyone happy. Lingering over their parents’ mistakes. Being perfect. Hearing about what kept them up at night — and how they finally cast them aside — can, we hope, help you sleep a bit easier. |
