Turning Point USA Faith Contributor Pastor John Amanchukwu SHOCKED board members as he read VERBATIM from a sexually explicit passage in a book available in district libraries. The book, Verity by Colleen Hoover, contains graphic depictions of oral sex and is available within Llano Independent School District ([link removed] ) libraries in Llano, Texas.

During Amanchukwu’s speech, he was interrupted by a board member who told the pastor he didn’t need to read the book out loud but could instead go through the district’s book challenge process.

Amanchukwu reminded board members of his FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT to freedom of speech and stated, “Remove the filth or I will continue to read the books!”

The School Board Watchlist team did some more digging and discovered Verity is NOT THE ONLY inappropriate book within the district… Llano ISD libraries also have All Boys Aren’t Blue, a memoir named one of the most banned books of 2023 that discusses the “trials and triumphs faced by black queer boys.”
