My name is Peter Dixon - Marine Corps veteran, father of three, entrepreneur, and Democratic candidate for California’s 16th Congressional District . I am a career public servant running against a field of career politicians. Like Seth, I served in the Marine Corps after 9/11 because I could not ask anyone else to go in my place. After deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, I served in the Obama Administration’s State Department, combating cartels and gender-based violence. I have real-world experience defending our democratic values and institutions.
After my service, I came home to CA-16 to found a public benefit company, helping speed up the adoption of essential technology by the American government and especially our military. I know what it’s like to sit at the kitchen table and worry about making payroll. At the same time, I co-founded With Honor, a non-profit whose mission is to elect servant-leader veterans to Congress, and ensure they work in a bipartisan manner to get things done in Washington.
Today, our very democracy is under threat, and I hope to serve again in Congress to protect the fabric of our nation. I’m humbled and grateful to have an endorsement from Serve America, and for our shared vision to transform Congress by electing leaders who know what it means to serve.
California’s primary election is on March 5 – only 33 days away – and if we’re going to ensure that the next generation of service-led and people-first leaders are elected to Congress, I need your help, friend.
