John — in March, the Supreme Court is set to hear a critical case that will determine the future of access to abortion medication.
Women across this country rely on mifepristone for medication abortions and miscarriage management. It is safe, highly effective, and critical to reproductive health care. Limiting access to mifepristone would make it even harder for reproductive health care providers to ensure patients get the treatment they need — even in states where abortion remains legal.
It’s outrageous that ideological extremists have been emboldened to challenge an FDA-approved and proven safe drug in the courts, creating chaos and confusion while threatening patients’ health. This is just right-wingers’ latest attempt to ban abortion care everywhere.
We’ve seen firsthand the danger to women’s health in states that banned abortion after the Supreme Court’s disastrous Dobbs ruling. We cannot allow any further rollbacks to threaten access to care elsewhere. Roy and other Democratic Governors in the Reproductive Freedom Alliance are standing up to urge the Court to act in defense of women’s health care — and he wants you to join him in the fight.
