Hi John!
This Black History Month, we’re spotlighting our nation’s boldest changemakers — past and present. Generations of Black Americans have continued to raise the standard and shift the conversation around what it means to show up and do the work. And this election year, we’ll do it again.
Black Americans continue to be on the frontlines of progress on economic justice, climate change, and gun violence prevention. And the Black vote has the power to determine elections across the nation, up and down the ballot. However, we can’t ignore that many Black communities are experiencing targeted attacks on their voting rights, and even though this is a time for celebration, we must not forget the repeated attempts to suppress
our power.
That’s why, in honor of Black History Month, we want you to join When We All Vote by taking three actions now:
💜 Celebrate Black joy in your community.
💜 Register to vote at whenweallvote.org.
💜 Forward this email to three friends and ask them to check their voter registration.
By honoring the past and standing together in the present, we can build a future that reflects justice, equality, and unity for future generations. So let’s continue to hold our elected officials accountable on the issues that matter and spread the message far and wide that Our Vote is Our Power.
Happy Black History Month ✊🏾.
