*Governor Parson to Visit Southern Border Alongside Texas Governor Greg Abbott*

"Will Receive Security Briefing Along with 13 Other Republican Governors?"

*(JEFFERSON CITY, MO)* ? On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Governor Mike Parson will join Texas Governor Greg Abbott and 13 other Republican Governors in a briefing on the Operation Lone Star mission to secure the southern border. Following this briefing, the Governors will hold a press conference on the unprecedented actions being taken by states to protect Americans in response to President Joe Biden's reckless open border policies.

The briefing will take place at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas and will be led by Governor Abbott along with Texas Department of Public Safety Deputy Director Freeman Martin, Adjutant General of the Texas National Guard, Major General Thomas Suelzer, and Texas Border Czar Mike Banks. _The security briefing will be open to select local media only_.
