In Trump’s term, along with his right-wing Senate majority, he reshaped the federal judiciary – particularly the appeals courts – for decades to come.
According to the nonpartisan Pew Research Center, at the end of Trump's term more than a quarter of active federal judges were Trump appointees. He appointed 226 judges in 4 years, including 54 to the U.S. Court of Appeals and 3 of the 9 seats in the U.S. Supreme Court. That’s as many senior judges as Barack Obama appointed over 8 years (55 Appellate and 2 Supreme Court).
