I hate to bring bad news, friend, but I just got word from my finance director that we fell about $6K short of our January fundraising goal – our first major goal of the election year. This is especially concerning because after victories in Iowa and here in New Hampshire, Donald Trump is closer than ever to capturing the Republican presidential nomination.
On top of that, our Democratic Senate majority is in serious jeopardy at a time when it's never felt more important to maintain – that's why I'm urgently asking you to make a donation now to help make up the gap on our January goal before midnight tonight.

This year feels like an inflection point on so many issues, friend. Across the country, far-right politicians are passing more and more restrictive abortion bills and pushing for a nationwide ban. Gun violence is out of control; it seems no community is safe, and yet, my Republican colleagues refuse to act. There is a supermajority on the Supreme Court with a clear conservative agenda.
I know it's a lot. And with everything going on, I know it can be tempting to bury our heads in the sand and hope for it all to go away – I feel that urge too, sometimes. But the hard truth is that these problems aren't going anywhere, and we all have a responsibility to fight with everything we have for our rights and the future of our democracy.
So please, friend: Donate $5 or whatever you can spare before midnight to help me make up my fundraising gap so we can elect Democrats in battleground states across the country and defend our Democratic Senate majority this November.
