Patriot,

The Deep State is scared.

And in turn, they are trying to scare you and other patriots.

“Losing Section 702 would be a calamity for American security,” Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) wrote last week.

The National Security Agency boasts "Section 702 Saves Lives, Protects the Nation and Allies.”

But the gross abuse by our government violates the Constitution and must be stopped!

Now, the Deep State is worried their “crown jewel” that allows them to spy on Americans might be going away.

Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Security Act (FISA) allows the government to target any non-U.S. person abroad who is “reasonably likely” to communicate “foreign intelligence information.”

But the government’s Section 702 targets need not have any connection to terrorism investigations or criminal activity. Targets may be academics, journalists, or human rights workers—anyone likely to communicate with foreigners or about “foreign matters” . . . even you!

And the FBI has been found to have done millions of illegal searches on innocent Americans. When caught red handed, they say they will police themselves to clean things up. So now they are down to only 250,000 illegal searches.

When will this end?

I have some bad news.

Media sources are now reporting House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told members of two key House committees to “stop butting heads” on Section 702 renewal and “quickly meld their competing bills.”

As we have been warning, there are two competing – and completely opposite – bills in the House regarding the government’s endless spying on the American people without a warrant.

It’s a clear case of good vs. bad:

• The Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act (H.R. 6570), which would require the government to get a warrant before they spy on you, a major improvement to the unconstitutional Surveillance State today, which was passed by the House Judiciary Committee;

versus

• The inappropriately-named FISA Reform and Reauthorization Act (H.R. 6611), which would actually expand the government’s unconstitutional spy powers, which was passed by the House Intelligence Committee.

Patriot, there can be no “compromise” between two ideologically opposite forces. We either restore our constitutional rights, or we lose even more.

One side wins, the other loses. The statists understand that – does Speaker Mike Johnson?

It’s critical you call Speaker Mike Johnson today at (202) 225-4000 and insist he advance and support ONLY H.R. 6570 and restore our constitutional Fourth Amendment protections!

Here’s a simple message:

This is [your name] from [your city and state]. I’m calling to insist the Speaker advance and support ONLY H.R. 6570, the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act, and REJECT H.R. 6611, which would renew and even expand unconstitutional surveillance under Section 702 of FISA.

This is a black-and-white issue. Section 702 has been abused millions of times and continues to be abused by the FBI. The Surveillance State has proven it cannot follow the Constitution. There can be no compromise between the Judiciary Committee’s bill to restore our rights and the Intelligence Committee’s bill to further degrade them.

This issue has always been in the Judiciary Committee’s jurisdiction. The Speaker should support the bill the Judiciary Committee passed.

Contact Speaker Johnson’s office at (202) 225-4000.

And if you haven’t already done so, click here now to sign your STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE Directive. Your petitions will be delivered to your representative, and you and I need to let them know we won’t accept them trampling the Constitution anymore!

Last Fall, the Speaker attempted a “Queen of the Hill” scheme, where both bills would have been brought to the floor for a cage match.

That’s not leadership, and he was rightly called out on it . . . and he was forced to abandon the scheme.

You and I can force Johnson to abandon this scheme, too – but only if we take action NOW!

According to our Capitol sources, members of the House Intelligence Committee are falsely claiming H.R. 6570 will greatly curtail the intelligence community from stopping legitimate threats.

This is just another example of the dishonest scare tactics the Surveillance State always employs to justify its unconstitutional schemes.

You and I know from Johnson’s “Queen of the Hill” scheme that he is motivated by what is popular.

So, call him RIGHT NOW at (202) 225-4000 and let him know freedom is popular! Insist he advance and support ONLY H.R. 6570 and restore our constitutional Fourth Amendment protections!

And if you haven’t already done so, click here to sign your STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE Directive.

Then, if at all possible, make an EMERGENCY contribution to Campaign for Liberty to help us mobilize more patriots RIGHT NOW.

Time is short, but with your support, we can reach even more people and generate even more calls and petitions to Congress before it’s too late.

Thanks for all you do,
