Research and Musings on Brewing the Least Toxic Cup ‘O Tea

While it’s true that tea—both caffeinated and herbal—boasts plenty of physical and mental health benefits due to its polyphenols, there are also concerns to contend with. When it comes to brewing, and using bags specifically, research uncovers plastics, adhesives, and other chemicals unfit for human life.

Citric Acid Is Found in a Plethora of Products: Heck! It’s Even in Bubble Bath

Citric acid was originally made from lemons, but not anymore. Take to heart that it’s mass-produced by black mold—specifically “Aspergillus niger,”— and is toxic to the health of humans. It’s used as a preservative in thousands of products, including cosmetics that you might have on your bathroom shelf right now.

During the second half of January, AVFCA brought awareness to specific observance days by sharing our original stories that matched these themes:

School Choice Week: “Grassroots National Homeschooling Movement: An Inside View of Strengths-Based Parent Networking”  Post-pandemic's influence on homeschooling during 2023 and beyond. This article contains personal conversations with parents of homeschooled kids, as well as educators. Their views and experiences led to interesting and unique discoveries about education, and the world outside homeschool doors.  http://tinyurl.com/avfca-homeschooling

Freethinkers Day: “Ivermectin Uncensored: The Story the Headlines Won't Tell You”

History of ivermectin: creation, intentions, and uses. The FDA’s “yay” then “nay,” and the barriers to access. The unique versatility of this “semisynthetic” drug has been highlighted, as well as many studies detailing its efficacy. Implications with ivermectin and COVID-19 were addressed, as was the research on cancer.  http://tinyurl.com/ivermectin-uncensored

Our team also reads hundreds of articles each week, and those of interest are shared on our social media platforms.  However, once or twice a week, our team reads an article that is profound or shares a perspective that is new or from an expert that AVFCA feels should be highlighted.  These articles are shared on our Substack.
