John, did you see my message?

Sign the Petition: The Department of Justice must investigate AI-generated vote suppression in New Hampshire >>

John, something alarming happened in New Hampshire this weekend – and I need your help to nip this dangerous new anti-voter tactic in the bud.

Voters across New Hampshire reported calls from a “deepfake” AI-generated voice that sounded just like President Biden urging them not to vote in the state’s primary election. Countless New Hampshire voters received this blatant – and likely illegal – attempt to suppress their votes. [1]

John, this won’t stop in New Hampshire. As the 2024 election kicks into high gear, experts predict this sort of high-tech election disinformation will become even more prolific. We need swift, public accountability to stop these vote-suppressors in their tracks.

Tell the Department of Justice: launch a swift investigation and send a loud and clear message that this voter suppression will NOT be tolerated.

ADD MY NAME

Election disinformation intended to trick voters and benefit far-right candidates like Donald Trump is nothing new: remember in 2016 how bad actors flooded social media with lies encouraging people to "text in their vote" – or of course, in 2020, where completely made-up stories about voting irregularities quickly went viral. [2]

But with advanced AI and other new technology, the extremists behind these disinformation campaigns have access to 21st-century tools nobody could have dreamed of just one decade ago.

That's why it's critically important we get ahead of this threat right now – which starts with swift and public accountability for whoever tried to trick New Hampshire voters out of their right to be heard.

Add your name if you agree: we need the Department of Justice to get to the bottom of these robocalls and hold these vote-suppressors accountable.

Thanks for all you do,
