After years of grassroots pressure, we were thrilled to see the Biden administration announce the creation of the American Climate Corps, which will put thousands of young people to work on behalf of clean energy, conservation, and climate resilience. Meanwhile, our Community Advocates program is on the ground training volunteers to help ensure the clean energy benefits provided by the historic Inflation Reduction Act are going to the everyday people and families who need them most.

Together we’re rallying opposition to catastrophic fossil fuel projects – like the CP2 gas export terminal, which would produce more toxic emissions than the equivalent of 50 coal-fired power plants. We just scored a major victory in the fight to stop CP2 as the Biden administration paused the approval process for this facility and others like it to more thoroughly evaluate its impacts on the climate, but we must keep up the pressure to stop the expansion of gas exports altogether.
