The First Amendment: In our newest exhibit, discover how the First Amendment protects our most cherished freedoms—religious liberty, free speech, a free press, the freedom of assembly, and the right to petition—and how it impacts us today.
Freedom Rising: This multimedia theater-in-the-round performance connects visitors in an inspiring, unforgettable way with the story of the U.S. Constitution and its ongoing role in our lives.
The Story of We the People: This hands-on exhibit illuminates America’s constitutional history through innovative exhibits, films, photographs, rare artifacts, and engaging activities led by our education staff.
Signers’ Hall: Sign the Constitution alongside 42 life-size, bronze statues of the Founding Fathers.
Civil War and Reconstruction: Learn how constitutional clashes over slavery set the stage for the Civil War, and how the nation transformed the Constitution after the war during the Reconstruction period, taking a particularly close look at the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.
The 19th Amendment: Explore the long fight for women’s suffrage and discover the stories of the many women who transformed constitutional history.
