In 2020, Scott Perry played a central role in Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the election, An assertion that has been backed-up by former White House aide turned whistleblower, Cassidy Hutchison. Perry even sought a preemptive pardon from Trump.

Perry introduced Trump to Jeffrey Clark, when Trump was seeking to appoint a sympathetic Attorney General who would support his unfounded election fraud claims and his attempts to leverage the Justice Department to stay in power.

Perry spread election lies and attempted to invalidate the electoral votes of the key swing state of Pennsylvania, and with it the votes of his own constituents.

In the summer of 2022, the FBI seized Perry's phone as part of the January 6th investigation. Recently, the contents of his phone became public, and confirmed the key role Perry played in the attempted insurrection. Perry is also on the witness list in the ongoing election fraud case in Georgia that has ensnared Trump and his inner circle

In the time since President Biden took office, as the Chair of the ultra-conservative, pro-MAGA Freedom Caucus, Perry is the one behind the debt ceiling standoff, the ouster of Kevin McCarthy, the repeated threats of a government shutdown, the complete dysfunction in the House of Representatives, and the election of the current pro-Trump Speaker Mike Johnson.

Perry creates chaos to enhance his own power and push his radical right-wing agenda, which is in direct opposition to our Democratic values.
