[1]The Long Run PAC

When someone tells you what they’re going to do, believe them.

When Donald Trump first ran for president, he promised to appoint Supreme Court justices who oppose the right to an abortion. That’s exactly what he did. And that’s exactly why Roe v. Wade is no longer the law of the land.

So I’m paying attention to what MAGA Republicans promise to do if they win in 2024. Some of Trump’s closest allies and former advisors have released a blueprint. It proposes steps for him to take as president without approval from Congress, like...

- Reversing the FDA’s approval for mifepristone, a medication used for one of the most common methods of abortion
- Enforcing a law from 1873 in a way that’s “viewed as a de facto federal abortion ban by reproductive rights advocates and anti-abortion activists alike,” according to Rolling Stone
- No longer paying for service members’ travel expenses if they have to leave the state they’re stationed in for reproductive care — a.k.a. the policy that Senator Tommy Tuberville blocked hundreds of military nominations and promotions to try to stop
- And they won’t stop at abortion. They also plan to restrict access to birth control. Yep, birth control. Nope, you didn’t accidentally travel back a few decades to another century — it’s 2024, and right-wing extremists are attacking basic contraceptive care.

Two things are clear. Number one: right-wing extremists won’t rest until abortion is banned nationwide. Number two: we’ve got to defeat them — in 2024 and beyond.

I’m running for re-election this year to stay in the fight. Can you split any amount between my campaign and The Long Run to help hold the line against anti-abortion rights ideologues?

We’ve got to keep Donald Trump from getting anywhere near the White House again so he can’t enact any of this out-of-touch agenda.

We’ve got to win abortion rights battles at the state level, like organizers did last year in Ohio.

And we’ve got to keep working to protect abortion rights at the federal level. We can make that happen if we protect and expand our Senate majority.

Look, I get it: none of this is easy. In fact, it’s infuriating that we’re in this position. It’s outrageous that a handful of Supreme Court justices ripped a constitutional right away from over half our population.

I’m still angry, and I’m still determined to fight back. Right-wing extremists were able to overturn Roe because of years and years and years of planning — and we’ve got to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to undo the damage they’ve done.

That’s what I’m committed to. And I’m glad to be by your side in this fight.

To help grow our re-election campaign and fight for the right to an abortion, can you split a donation between our campaign and The Long Run today? Whatever you’d be able to contribute would go a long way as we enter this powerfully important election year.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
