** Dear John,
------------------------------------------------------------
Last week, as schools across the nation closed their doors to slow the spread of the coronavirus, TT reached out to our community to learn what support you needed at this time. Among the most common responses was a call for trauma-informed practices to support students over the coming weeks and months.

For guidance, we reached out to our friends at the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.

We asked questions like:
* What should educators keep in mind as they transition to distance learning?
* What trauma-informed approaches should educators be using with students right now?
* What activities would you recommend educators try with students?
* How can educators better support students at greater risk of trauma?
* How can educators support caregivers and families at this time?
* What can educators do to manage their own stress?

Their responses include ready-to-use recommendations and strategies for a trauma-informed approach to teaching through coronavirus. We hope you’ll use and share this new resource ([link removed]) and that it provides some support during this challenging time.

As always, thanks for all you are doing for students.
