Got a second, John?

I just got an update on tonight’s fundraising deadline from Berrett, my campaign finance director. To reach our first budget target of this critical election year, we still need to raise $6,635 by 11:59 pm.

If we dig deep, I know we can get this done. Can I count on you to pitch in $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you by midnight?

Because of our work together, Minnesota is setting a national example of progress. But everything we’ve accomplished will be in jeopardy if we fail to hold the line up and down the ballot this November.

Donald Trump, who said he’d be a “dictator” on “day one,” is sailing to the Republican nomination, and his local allies are already on offense, spending money in competitive districts across the state and lying about what our DFL majorities have accomplished for Minnesota families.

I believe with all my heart that Americans will rise above the politics of fear and division and reject Trumpism up and down the ballot this November. But it won’t happen on its own.

To keep Trump out of the White House and the MAGA agenda out of Minnesota, we’re going to need to fight with everything we’ve got between now and November, and that starts with reaching our first fundraising goal of the year tonight.
