We have just hours left before our first big fundraising deadline of the year, and we're still falling short of the goal we set to secure 1000 new Emerge Members for 2024. I'm asking you here and now to please donate $25 to activate your membership, but I also want to talk about why Emerge is so immensely important this year.

Across the country, we continue to see a rise in right-wing conspiracy theories that existed before Donald Trump and has festered since he was booted from the White House. They've banned abortion. They've attacked marginalized communities. They've censored books. They've threatened our very democracy.

But Emerge alums are fighting back. Emerge alums are working to restore abortion rights in a post-Roe world. Emerge candidates are the rising generation of the Democratic Party that will counter and defeat extremism and win. 

And with MAGA leader Donald Trump poised to clinch the Republican nomination for president, Emerge's ability to recruit, train, and elect more Democratic women is more important than ever. We can stand up to Trump and all MAGA Republicans by getting more than 500 Emerge candidates on the ballot this year!

But that sort of work simply isn't possible without grassroots resources, which is why I'm reaching out once again before the deadline. Please, John, this is the last and final call: Will you donate $25 to become a 2024 Emerge Member – we still need just a handful of donors before the deadline – and help empower more Democratic women to run for office?
