Hello Democrats, Today marks our end-of-month deadline, a critical point in fundraising for our efforts to thwart the GOP and ensure another sweeping Democratic victory. However, in order to successfully build the infrastructure needed to counter the GOP, we need to make sure our staff is properly supported.
Clayton Caté, whose birthday is tomorrow, is a prime example of why donating to DPNM helps develop not only the Party and our efforts, but helps build up the individuals working day in and day out in order to succeed. Starting out as a UNM intern from Santo Domingo Pueblo in NM studying political science and Native American studies, Clayton quickly learned and developed the skills he needed to thrive at DPNM and was quickly promoted to part-time staff as our Finance Assistant.

Clayton’s involvement in politics began at a young age as he was involved with his family’s generations-long service in tribal leadership and advocacy for tribal sovereignty. His involvement in tribal affairs played an impactful role in helping Clayton decide his path towards political work in New Mexico. In his free time, Clayton also enjoys working his family’s farm and creating beautiful traditional Heishi jewelry. Clayton contributes to DPNM’s success in a multitude of ways, from managing our finances and keeping up with bills to assisting staff and helping with event logistics, and much, much more.
