Folks,
As the coronavirus continues to spread, it’s clearer than ever that our health care system is broken. As people lose their jobs, they lose their health care. As cases increase, our hospitals are overcrowded, overworked, and in short supply of essential materials.
Health care is a human right -- especially during a global pandemic. And while we work to pass Medicare for All, we cannot forget the good the Affordable Care Act has done for families across the country.
Ten years ago today, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, protecting those with pre-existing conditions and saving millions of lives.
And every day since, Republicans have been plotting and planning ways to destroy it.
Right now our country is facing an unprecedented global pandemic. Can you imagine what it would be like if Republicans got away with sabotaging our health care system and kicking 21 million people off their insurance?
It makes me sick. Human lives are not gambling chips in partisan games. When a public health crisis strikes, low-income folks and communities of color are hit the hardest. That’s why I’m fighting with everything I’ve got to stop the GOP’s attacks on our health care.
I’m working as hard as I can to make health care a right, especially during times like these. If you’re with me, can you add a donation to my campaign before our first 2020 FEC deadline to help me fight for everyday families?

Please, only donate if you can afford to do so. I know a lot of families are facing financial hardship right now and the most important thing you can do is take care of yourself and your loved ones.
In solidarity,
Barbara Lee
