As January winds down, many of us are reflecting on the resolutions we set
for the new year and taking stock of where we’re at (if you skipped a day
or two of your 30-day yoga journey, we see you!).

Maybe you resolved to read more banned books. Maybe you promised to double
down in the fight for reproductive justice to restore and expand abortion
rights. Or maybe you set a goal to get involved in organizing ahead of the
2024 elections and fight for a more just and progressive future.

No matter where you’re at with your resolutions — whether you’ve kept to
them fully or faced some setbacks — what matters most is that we continue
showing up every day and working towards progress.

Although her title is Congresswoman, more than anything, Ayanna seeks to
be a representative. A representative sent to Washington by the people
with a mandate. That will be a resolution that never
changes, because Ayanna will never stop fighting for the people who have
been left behind.

That’s why she continues to call for a ceasefire in Israel and Gaza to
save lives, despite right-wing billionaires trying to unseat her. That’s
why she centers the lived experiences of people and fights to root out the
disparities impacting our communities. And that’s why she continues to
affirm that abortion care is healthcare and a human right. Because our
communities deserve to not only survive, but thrive.

If
we’re going to meet the urgency of the moment with action and create more
bold, justice-centered policies for our country, we need to keep showing
up every day and making progress. That’s how we make all our resolutions a
reality.

threats from extremist Republicans and far-right groups alike. But Ayanna
