"I extend my deepest empathy and support to Americans across our great nation as we all address the grave crisis of COVID-19, or the novel Coronavirus. This is a time when we all must come together in solidarity, as one community, to be available for one another to meet both material and social needs." —Catherine Glenn Foster President & CEO at Americans United for Life

How Did Abortion Come to Mean Free Choice?
(CNS News) We women should be encouraged and supported when we unexpectedly become pregnant - not coerced. We should look out for our sisters and girlfriends. Like the heroes of The Hunger Games, we should refuse to participate in the culture of violence we’re given by Planned Parenthood and other abortion activists. We need a revolution of the heart on this issue - to affirm ourselves in courage and strength, to reject violence and self-harm, and to be the culture of love and caring that we wish to see.

A message from Americans United for Life President & CEO Catherine Glenn Foster on COVID-19
(Americans United for Life) In my experience, uncertainty is also the most daunting part of an unplanned pregnancy. Uncertainty over how it might affect our health. Uncertainty over how we will continue to work or go to school. Uncertainty whether we will receive the support we need to take a pregnancy to term. Information, resources, empowerment, and love are the ways that we can best help mothers experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. The same must now be extended towards Americans dealing with this unprecedented crisis.

The Answer to the Coronavirus Is More Abortion?
(Townhall) In a recent fundraising appeal, Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) asked for donation as they told supporters, “We are working tirelessly to ensure that everyone gets the care they need, and to advocate for policies that protect and expand our health and rights.” A strange appeal at a time in which the life-saving care that people should be donating to for their actual health is taking place everywhere but in abortion facilities. But in a business marked by crass opportunism, what more do you expect.
Louisiana Abortion Law at the Supreme Court
(National Constitution Center) A challenge to the Louisiana abortion law that requires doctors performing abortions to have hospital admitting privileges was heard by the Supreme Court last week. Julie Rikelman of the Center for Reproductive Rights, who argued on behalf of the abortion providers in June Medical Services v. Russo, and Catherine Glenn Foster of Americans United for Life, who authored an amicus brief on behalf of Members of Congress on the opposing side of the case, joined host Jeffrey Rosen on this week’s episode. They presented the arguments on both sides of the case — diving into the facts, considering whether admitting privilege requirements are prudent and whether the “undue burden” standard established by the 2016 Supreme Court case Whole Women’s Health v Hellerstedt is workable, and explaining how they think this case might impact the lives of women.
