When you run for office at almost any level, no one person, not even the best candidate you could possibly imagine, can win without the help of people who care — about their community and their country.

Those people will never give a floor speech, they'll never cast a vote in the Senate, they'll never get to talk on cable news about an important issue… but put in the hard sweat anyway.

Think about it. When someone gives $3 to a campaign, they aren't doing it to get famous, or because it will result in a tax break or government contract for their multi-billion dollar corporation.

They're doing it because they want to ensure people in this country have access to health care, well-paying jobs, and a climate that is habitable for future generations.

If everyone getting this email contributed $3, we'd meet our January fundraising goals and be well on the way toward winning this race.

But not everyone will do that. That's why I am hoping people who know the stakes in this election and want to make a big difference can chip in today.
