Huge news, Friend –
Last Friday, President Biden paused approvals for new gas export projects – including a massive project called CP2 LNG, which would be the largest gas export terminal in the country.
In his official statement, Biden stated that this pause “sees the climate crisis for what it is: the existential threat of our time.
It’s a major win for the climate movement after years of organizing, especially from frontline communities of color in the Gulf Coast who have been leading this fight. This was only possible because hundreds of thousands of people joined together to make our voices undeniable to the Biden administration.
But a pause is just a start. We can’t call this a complete victory until CP2 – and all new fossil fuel projects – are stopped outright. We’re running a major campaign starting this spring that will turn up the heat on ending fossil fuel projects like CP2 LNG, and we need your help.
Can you rush $15, $25, or any amount you can to help us turn the heat up against the fossil fuel industry? Your contribution goes toward supporting our work to organize, train, and take direct action with thousands of people to stop fossil fuel projects and fight against climate chaos.
Taking direct action is one of the most important ways we can end our reliance on planet-killing fossil fuels and fight for our communities. Many of our members are directly impacted by the effects of climate chaos – polluted air, flooding, and storm damage have wreaked havoc on our families and communities.
For our communities to thrive, we must take bold action to stop fossil fuels. That’s why we helped organize last September’s March to End Fossil Fuels, where 75,000+ people took to the streets calling on President Biden to stop approving fossil fuel projects and phase out oil & gas drilling.
This was the biggest anti-fossil fuels demonstration in the United States ever, showing how large and powerful our movement against fossil fuels is. Working-class communities of color like those we organize are leading the way to a fossil-free future, and we need your support to organize on an even bigger scale this year.
Will you chip in $15, $25, or any amount you can now to help us keep organizing powerful campaigns against the fossil fuel industry so our communities can thrive?
Every dollar we raise keeps our momentum strong for the fight ahead to end fossil fuel projects once and for all – we can only do this with your support, Friend.
Thanks for being in this movement with us,
