We don’t know what the future holds but we know -- like we have always known --  that we must trust women.

Over the last two months, our country and communities have seen a landslide of changes thrown at us due to the spread of COVID-19. From the closing of restaurants, the decrease of public transportation, to shifts in how we heal, love, and grow together as a community. To put it bluntly, our work, our realities, and how we fight for equity will be forever changed. 

While social distancing is something we are practicing, I and the entire Ms. Foundation staff and board are not going anywhere. All our programs are currently working digitally and we are in constant contact with our grantee-partners.  We may not know what the answers are but we are committed to doing what we need to do to ensure that people and communities need our help, get it.  

As you may know, the Ms. Foundation for Women was built on the voices of our communities. For over four decades this organization has worked to uplift, amplify, and constantly respond to the urgent and long term needs of communities across our country working to ensure that women around the country have the support they need to assess and implement the best solutions in their communities. 

In the days to come, know that we are committed to listening to the community and working with our philanthropic colleagues to stay on top of everything that is going on. Most importantly we will be making sure that we are staying prepared for the shifts in our new norm and allowing for testing of new solutions by acting rapidly and preparing strategically for the long-term impacts of this evolving pandemic.
