This week, the U.S. Supreme Court set a date to begin hearing oral arguments in a major case regarding the abortion pill on March 26.

Conservatives are trying to roll back access to mifepristone, one of the most common prescription drugs used in medication abortion.

This will be the first case on reproductive freedom that SCOTUS hears since its devastating decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022, and it too can affect healthcare for millions of people across the country — even in states like California that protect abortion rights.
