John --
I’ll try to keep this short. I know it is an incredibly
challenging time for our communities right now, unlike anything we’ve
seen in our lifetime.
My team and I have been working hard to advocate at the state level
on a number of social equity and justice fronts to help ensure we
address the Coronavirus pandemic in a way that doesn’t leave the most
vulnerable people behind. We will keep pushing.
We also have been doing our best to share information about the
crisis via social media, telephone townhalls, email, and more. We even
got some information translated by volunteers like my mom, to be
available as quickly as possible. We put together a resource guide
specific to Senate District 1 that will be available shortly at www.senatorstephaniechang.com.
In less than a day, we recruited more than 30 volunteer mask-makers
and convened a live mask making tutorial and Q&A with Rising
Voices of Asian American Families and Mai Xiong. We are connecting
people to services and lifting up key issues every day. Soon, my team
and I will be calling seniors in Senate District 1 to see how they are
doing and offer assistance.
I wanted to let you know where I am donating to help combat
the pandemic. I hope you can join me and make a donation too.
There are likely numerous other organizations that need support, and
these are just a few.
I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
Please reach out if I can be of any help.
Together, we will get through this.
In solidarity,
