Exposed! The secret US/UK nuclear weapons agreement - a CND and Declassified UK webinar
CND and Declassified UK invite you to join our upcoming webinar exploring the murky treaty linking the US and Britain's nuclear weapons. In place since 1958, the Mutual Defence Agreement (MDA) oversees the transfer of nuclear technologies that enable Britain to maintain and modernise its nuclear arsenal.
Renewed every ten years, the MDA is up for extension in 2024 - but won't come with any parliamentary oversight or scrutiny! With global tensions at their highest in decades and nuclear powers upgrading their nuclear arsenals, it's important that a spotlight is shone on this secretive relationship.
This webinar will explore the origins of the MDA, examine why Britain needs to end its nuclear relationship with the US, and discuss what we need to do internationally to push for global nuclear disarmament.

Join the national demonstration for Gaza this Saturday, 3 February!
On Friday, the International Court of Justice put the world on notice that Israel’s genocide in Gaza must end. However, the British government's response has been abysmal. Instead of stopping arms sales to Israel - they have joined the US and others in stopping their funding to UNRWA - the UN aid agency responsible for helping Palestinian refugees. Our government's actions will ensure that many more civilians will die and countless more will suffer from a lack of vital aid.
Writing after the release of the ICJ's preliminary measures, CND Chair Tom Unterrainer has called on all CND supporters and members to join us on the streets this Saturday to demand Britain ends its complicity in Israel's war crimes.
