While the Republican presidential primaries were playing out in Iowa and New Hampshire, Donald Trump spent most of that time in a courtroom.

Over the next ten months, we’ll see Donald Trump fighting for his freedom and future. But if he wins re-election, we’re not going to see him fight for any of ours.

This election year is critical. Our country cannot afford another four years of a Trump presidency. Another four years of Trump means he gets another shot at taking away our hard-fought rights. It’s up to us to not give him that opportunity.

There is so much at stake — and right here in Maryland, we’ve taken leadership to protect abortion access and create economic opportunity for Marylanders. We will not stop until we’ve secured these rights and freedoms for all of us across the country.

We will not go back, and Maryland will continue leading the way to model a government that works for all of us, not just a select few.
