When we started this journey together, the pundits didn’t think we could win a district that President Donald Trump won by more than six points in 2016. Together, we proved them wrong.
We won New York’s 19th Congressional District for the people, not special interests.
Now we have an opportunity to do it again. Democrat Dan McCready is a Marine veteran running in a district that Trump won by 9 points. After serving our country, he founded a solar energy company and retailer that only sells American-made products.
Dan is a different kind of leader -- and we need him in Congress serving alongside me.
In just 32 days, we have a chance to elect Dan in a special election. The polls show this race tied -- so if we’re going to win it, we need Democrats and working people to come together again. Chip in $5 or more to help send Dan McCready to Congress.

The fact is that Dan could have already been serving alongside me. North Carolina election officials tossed out last November’s results after confirming that a Republican operative committed blatant election fraud -- illegally collecting and distorting absentee ballots.
But just because officials called for a new election on Tuesday, September 10, doesn’t mean the special interests, including the gun-lobby, are giving up on this seat.
Dan’s extreme, right-wing opponent has an “A” rating from the NRA, and he has dark money support from the same Super PACs that tried to stop us from winning last year’s election. These groups are on television in North Carolina with millions of dollars worth of nasty, misleading ads attacking Dan.
They are working to break this tie and hire another politician who will work for them.
That’s why I’m asking you to stand with me, to show Dan the love you have shown me, and to help send a Marine veteran and American small business owner to Congress to fight for working people, not the NRA or other special interests. Chip in $5 or more.
