I’m going to ask for your help in a minute, but first let me explain the backstory. The Honoring our PACT Act is a comprehensive legislative package that opened up health care to over 3.5 million veterans. | You read that right: 3.5 million veterans. | That’s how many men and women who were exposed to toxic substances like burn pits and airborne hazards during their military service now have access to care through the Veterans Administration. As the then-Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, spearheading this legislation was one of my deepest honors. But here is problem. Not all of the 3.5 million veterans know about this law so they’re unaware of the potential benefits they can take advantage of. | So this is how you can help. | To raise awareness, we’re reaching out to our community to find people who are beneficiaries of the PACT Act — so we can tell their stories about how this law helped them. | Have you or a family member benefited from the PACT Act? Taking this survey will sign you up for future news and updates from my office. | Thank you so much for your help in spreading awareness about this critical, life-changing legislation. The more stories we can tell, the more we’ll be able to make sure all 3.5 million veterans who are eligible for this expanded care get the help they need.
