AIPAC’s dark money grift is backfiring, John.
Last week, Rep. Summer Lee — a member of the progressive Squad in Congress and a major target of Republican-funded Super PACs this cycle — announced her re-election campaign has raised over $1 million, with more than 90 percent of the contributions from small-dollar donors.1
These numbers show us two things:
-
AIPAC’s threats are lighting a fire under all of us to protect and expand democracy.
The news that AIPAC is planning to spend at least $100 million to unseat progressive champions like Summer and take full control of Congress for MAGA Republicans has activated our multigenerational, multiracial movement to strengthen the line of defense against corruption.
-
We have the overwhelming power of the people.
Summer is going into this cycle with a real enthusiasm edge over her top primary opponent — who’s reportedly been “in touch” with AIPAC1 —and nearly all of it is thanks to small-dollar donations from real people inspired to give what they can, when they can.
AIPAC and the billionaire right-wing donors who fund them aren’t taking any of this lightly — and there’s a chance this news will provoke them to intensify their attacks against Summer in order to crush the momentum we’re seeing in this race.
Can you split a contribution between Summer’s campaign and WFP to fuel the organizing we’ll need to fight back against the deluge of attacks we know are coming her way before the April primary?

The only way working people have ever been able to fight back against the kind of money groups like AIPAC have is through the support of grassroots donors like you, John. And support at this stage of the election cycle means the most of all.
Thank you, as always, for all of your contributions to our Working Families Party champions. Whether through your financial support or by giving your time and talents, you are helping us build power to take on — and defeat — the wealthy donor class.
In solidarity,
Working Families Party
