Dear John,
Our justice system assumes that the primary needs of crime victims involve punishment of the person who harmed them.
But the vast majority of crime victims' needs have nothing to do with what happens to the person who harmed them.
Take action to ensure crime victims get the services they deeply need. [[link removed]]

Victims need medical assistance, physical therapy, trauma and grief counseling, relocation to a safe space, replacement of lost wages, time off from work, help with funeral expenses, and much more.
Now, the organizations that do the work to provide victims' real needs are at dire risk.
The federal government is planning to cut 40% of the funding for victim service providers.
When a crime happens, victims of it need real support.
Take action today: tell your members of Congress to protect funding for crime victims. [[link removed]]
