“We are proud to endorse Laurie Buckhout for Congress in North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District,” said Maggie’s List Chairman Sandra Mortham. “Laurie is a shining example of our values of strong national security, fiscal responsibility and limited government. We at Maggie’s List believe she is the best candidate for this important district and know that she has what it takes to achieve victory in both the primary and general elections,” Mortham continued. “I am thrilled to receive the Maggie’s List endorsement of my campaign for Congress,” said Buckhout. “Maggie’s List does critical work in helping to elect fiscally conservative women to federal office across the country and I am humbled by their decision to stand behind me in North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District,” she continued.Â
