Three American service members were killed and dozens injured during an overnight drone strike in northeast Jordan near the Syrian border. This is the first deadly attack on U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East since the Israel-Hamas war began.

Biden declined to provide further details on the U.S.'s response, but reiterated that he hopes to deter a broader conflict in the Middle East.
