Our country is at a time of crisis. How we respond now will shape the future of our country.


I have been monitoring closely and responding to the COVID-19 crisis and am working with Democratic leadership in Congress to aid the people and businesses that this pandemic will impact the most.

We are developing a significant relief package to provide financial assistance to the millions of Americans who are in desperate need. As Chair of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, it is my top priority to keep public transportation options available for communities while ensuring that our transportation workers are safe, healthy, and employed.

Many of the industries that our economy relies on are feeling the impacts of COVID-19. I intend to do everything in my power to ensure that the millions of Americans whose work is affected are well-supported and taken care of in this critical time.

We must utilize all of our resourcefulness, innovation, creativity, and ingenuity to get through this crisis and ensure that we will get through this trying time.
