National Human Trafficking Prevention Month is a time when people stop and pay extra attention to this issue of child trafficking. Some of you have done a lot to raise awareness this month. It's a beautiful thing and so important.
But as the month draws to a close, I’m reminded that it will take more than just awareness to truly see a generation free from trafficking. It will take persistent and committed action. Children don’t just need prevention education or survivor care in January; they need it year-round. 12 months a year, the children in our care are working, and fighting to take back their childhoods. As Prevention Month ends, would you commit to being there for children, month after month?
Giving monthly (whatever amount you can) is one of the most strategic things you can do to help. It means we can count on you to support the expert care and prevention education that children need.
Thank you,
Founded in 2002, Love146 journeys alongside children impacted by trafficking today and prevents the trafficking of children tomorrow. We connect the dots to understand how vulnerability operates in the lives of children and intervene both to care for survivors who have been harmed and ultimately to prevent harm from happening in the first place. Our work is achieved through the power of relationships and collaboration, listening to those with lived experience and diverse backgrounds, scaling proven practices, and challenging the systems that leave children vulnerable. Our prevention and survivor care work has impacted more than 77,700 young people. Our core commitment is to do what is best for children.
