Dear Friends,
The sentencing of Mohammed Said Othman is set for tomorrow, Jan. 31st at 12:30 p.m. at 100 Centre St., 11th Floor, Part 62. Othman was part of a gang of Arab men who viciously attacked Joseph Borgen on May 20, 2021. He is the fifth attacker to be sentenced. All of Borgen's attackers were involved with Within Our Lifetime (WOL) aka Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). Thanks to MEMRI, we know that Hamas recently acknowledged these "students" and their supporters for helping to promote their genocidal goals. Especially now, when Jewish students on campus and visibly Jewish people feel threatened, it's critical that the haters see the successful prosecution and sentencing of these attackers. They must see that we are not afraid to stand up to them. We need to fill as many seats in the courtroom as possible.
Anytime between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the same day in the same building (on the 13th floor, Room 1300, in Judge Carro's courtroom), in what Glenn Richter has coined "a defendant double-header," Christopher Brown and Mathew Mahrer are scheduled to appear in court. We have been told that the prosecutor does not expect anything substantive to happen other than a change in the attorney of record for Mathew Mahrer who has hired a new lawyer. At the last hearing, it was anticipated that Jan. 31st would be the day on which a trial date would be set for Brown and Mahrer who were arrested before they could wage a deadly attack on a New York synagogue.
Please forward this message to as many people as possible.
