Dear Comrade,

This is Liam Wright, incoming Secretary for Memphis-Midsouth DSA chapter. I am writing on behalf of our 2024 Steering Committee (SC) to share some updates from our chapter's Annual Assembly back in November and our first SC meeting of 2024. Also, below you can find the schedule for our chapter General Meetings for the rest of the year.

I know this is a long email, but please bear with me. Our political moment is fraught, containing potential and real dangers. With that in mind, we hope you will take this opportunity to get involved with the chapter to work together in changing the world. This email contains several ways to do that.

We are serious about this year providing additional avenues and structures for efforts by members like yourself. Toward that end, and first, please fill out the Quarterly Membership Survey. Doing so will communicate to us 1) that you intend to be active, and 2) what kind of DSA efforts you would most like to be involved with.

Second, is our schedule for the year. One thing our Assembly did was adopt a plan for bi-monthly General Meetings rather than quarterly ones. As such, we have scheduled our General Meetings for every other month, on the second Tuesday of that month at RP Tracks at 6pm.

Our General Meeting schedule is as follows: February 13th, April 9th, June 11th, August 13th, October 8th, and December 10th.

Our Annual Assembly for 2024 will be held the Tuesday after election day, November 11th.

We very much hope you can attend any and all of these meetings, and help to make this chapter all it can be.
