Hi John,

With a Supreme Court loaded with conservative Justices, you’d think Greg Abbott would have better luck defending his cruel and outrageous border policies.

**But even conservatives draw the line somewhere — and Abbott crossed that line well before he put up razor wire at the border and tried to stop federal agents from removing it.**

Greg Abbott put migrants’ and federal agents’ lives in jeopardy, and the Supreme Court has had enough of his nonsense. They ruled against him, allowing Border Patrol agents to cut the wire and do their jobs.

Abbott responded with indignation: “This is not over.”

**Actually, Governor Abbott, it is.**

Perhaps if he had focused more on public education, rather than trying to destroy our schools, he would know that the Supreme Court is the highest court in the United States. He might even have read a chapter about what happened when the governor of Arkansas tried to stop black students from entering Little Rock Central High School after the Supreme Court ordered desegregation. (Here’s a tip for Governor Abbott: History isn’t kind to Governor Faubus.)

**We’re going to keep opposing Governor Abbott and his anti-migrant border policies. And we’re going to keep helping migrants in communities like Eagle Pass, where Abbott put up the razor wire.**

This isn’t new. We’ve been doing so for months — providing care packages for migrant families with clothes, books, stuffed animals, and more; funding more than a year of rent for the Maverick County Democratic Party; and working to unseat Republicans who support Abbott’s racist policies.

Because when Greg Abbott responds to migrants with hate, we respond with love.
