John,
Poverty forces families to make impossible choices. Every day, parents across the U.S. are deciding between essentials – books or bread, gas or groceries – just to survive.
Children who live in poverty are more likely to start school significantly behind their peers and never catch up. Poverty and hunger also go hand in hand, and when children are hungry for food, they can’t afford to be hungry for knowledge. That’s why Save the Children works to fill critical gaps in early learning across rural America’s most impoverished communities.
This is just one aspect of our work to help children around the world grow up healthy, learning and safe. But all our efforts depend on the support we get from champions for children like you, John, and we’re counting on you to help reach our $50,000 goal before midnight tomorrow. So please, before Poverty Awareness Month ends, will you make a gift so that we can continue to do this important work and uplift all children, whether they are facing poverty, hunger or natural disasters?

Breaking the cycle of poverty and nurturing children begins by educating and empowering those living through it. Together, your support and our presence in more than 300 of rural America’s most impoverished communities can create a better, brighter future for these kids and all children facing threats to their well-being.
Your generosity today will support high-quality early childhood education programs that prepare children for kindergarten, nurture parent-school connections and empower parents to be their child’s first and most important teacher. It will also assist our efforts to eliminate childhood hunger and combat the various other hardships that children face all over the world, from conflict to the climate crisis.
So please, will you rush a donation of $30 to support children across the globe before Poverty Awareness Month ends tomorrow?
