Tomorrow, our team faces our first major deadline of the year. These times of year are often busy times for our campaigns. We’re busy strategizing and ensuring we meet our monthly campaign goals. One of the most important goals we need to meet each month is fundraising.

National Republicans have already begun plans to gut the Voting Rights Act. Last year, a federal appeals court ruled that voters and civil rights groups could not bring claims under Section 2, which prohibits discrimination based on race.

And here in North Carolina, the fight against partisan gerrymandering and restrictions to the ballot box has taken the national spotlight.

Meeting our monthly fundraising goal is key to ensuring Valerie can continue advancing voting rights protections in Congress.
