He wants us to see our nation as ungovernable, except by him, the “only one” who can set things “right.”

The MAGA Republican election strategy is built on sowing chaos and dysfunction.
Trump has been pushing his party to deny the 2020 election result, pardon insurrectionists, stop funding Ukraine in the battle against Putin, and obstruct his multiple criminal prosecutions.
The more chaos and dysfunction they create, the more pessimistic Americans feel -- and the more likely it is that they tune out completely. Or even worse, give up on democracy and turn to a so-called “strongman” like Trump.
But what’s getting lost in the chaos is how well we’re actually being governed. Trump doesn’t want us to talk about how Biden is fixing our infrastructure, fighting climate change, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, and canceling billions in student debt.
He doesn’t want us talking about how Biden is defending workers’ rights to organize.
And he really doesn’t want us talking about how the Biden economy is generating a record number of jobs, with real wages trending upward for the first time in decades.
