John: My name is Carlos Lacasa. I'm a former Florida state representative, lifelong Republican...and a staunch supporter and advocate for the Florida Women's Freedom Coalition.
One of the core fundamental beliefs I was raised with is the value of limited government intrusion and individual privacy. That's why the recent course taken by some extremist members of my party in implementing severe abortion bans is a stark departure from the principles I hold dear.
These stringent abortion bans are an overstep of governmental authority into the deeply personal realm of women's reproductive rights – decisions that should be made by women, their doctors and their families. These bans not only curtail essential health care, but also violate the cherished right to privacy.
But grassroots groups like the Florida Women's Freedom Coalition are fighting to put an end to this gross violation of government authority, emphasizing the need for these decisions to be left to women, their families and their doctors. Florida Women’s Freedom Coalition is unique. They speak to Republicans like me, Independents and Democrats in ways that make sense. And that's why I urge anybody who believes in personal autonomy to support this movement and to support Florida Women’s Freedom Coalition.
Please, let's put an end to unnecessary government interference in our day-to-day lives. Rush a donation of $5 – or whatever you can spare – so we can get this bipartisan coalition through to the finish line.

Thank you,
Carlos Lacasa
