Today, First Liberty volunteer attorneys argued before the Oregon
Court of Appeals on behalf of Christian bakers Aaron and Melissa
Klein.

The Kleins, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, are searching for sweet
justice after the government effectively forced them to close their
Oregon business for running it according to their faith.

These business owners have fought in state courts all the way up to
the U.S. Supreme Court.

Twice.

Today's argument comes after the Supreme Court once again
vacated the Oregon court's ruling, sent the case back to the
State of Oregon to review and provided them with new direction based
on last summer's Supreme Court ruling in 303 Creative LLC v.
Elenis.

We're now asking the Oregon Court to right this wrong and recognize
Aaron and Melissa's constitutional rights.

The first time the Supreme Court sent the case back to Oregon for
review, the state didn't fully resolve the issues.

Now that we're back in Oregon again, we're making three
things clear in our defense.

The first is that the State of Oregon must follow the Supreme
Court's direction that protects free speech.

The second is the Court's precedent squarely applies to the
Klein's case.

And the third is that First Liberty's expert legal team will not
stop fighting until Aaron and Melissa have been vindicated of all
wrongdoing.

Bottom line, we won't stand by when an out-of-control government
tries to force anyone to say or do something that directly conflicts
with their religious beliefs.

But we can't fight and win against government attacks on faith
